Elementary French II
Description:
 An intensive basic course in spoken and written French for students who have studied some French, but who have not yet attained the entry level for FSL121Y1.Â

Valdman, Pons & Scullen, Chez nous, 5th edition (manual and accompanying access code for computer module).Â
Assignments and evaluation:
Term work: 67% -Â Written component: 1 Quiz 10%; 1 In-class composition 20%; 1 Mid-term 30%, Oral Component: 1 Oral Comprehension test 15%; Oral Presentation or Individual Interview 15%; Overall assessment: (attendance and preparation for each class; active participation in oral and written activities)10%. Two-hour final university examination: 33%.Â
Prerequisite:
FSL 100H1 or, upon first FSL enrolment, equivalent as determined by the French Placement Test.Â
Exclusion:
FSL 121Y1 and higher.
